ERDOGAN AND TURKEY

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey attended the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York. Highlights from Erdogan’s speech about relations with gGreece were are as follows:

Erdogan said “We expect Greece to put aside the politics of tension and provocation and listen to our calls for cooperation” in his speech at the UN General Assembly, in New York.

”WE EXPECT GREECE TO HEAR OUR CALLS FOR COOPERATION”

Those who pursue a show of force in our region, despite the political and military level that has never equaled our country, put themselves in a ridiculous situation. The continuation of peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean depends on the respect of rights and law by all parties. We expect Greece to put aside the politics of tension and provocation and listen to our calls for cooperation.

While defending its rights in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean, Turkey will never come to the games of those who pursue a strategy of tension for the sake of their own political calculations.
