CHEATING COUPLES

A study conducted on couples has revealed that high-earning men and women are more likely to cheat on their partners. An online dating site for married individuals conducted a survey, which found that people earning approximately 1.7 million TL (50,000 pounds) per year tend to cheat on their partners and engage in extramarital relationships.

According to the survey, more than a third (36%) of men earning over 1.7 million TL (50,000 pounds) per year admitted to having an affair. One-third (33%) of women earning between 1.3 and 1.7 million TL (40,000 to 50,000 pounds) also confessed to cheating on their partners, while 13% of those with incomes over 1.7 million TL said they had engaged in infidelity.

EXAMINING 1.6 MILLION PEOPLE

The website that analyzed data from 1.6 million members in the United Kingdom to reach these findings reported that men earning between 1 and 1.3 million TL (30,000 to 40,000 pounds) per year had the third-highest likelihood of cheating at 18% in their income bracket. Men earning between 676,000 TL and 1 million TL (20,000 to 30,000 pounds) had only a 9% infidelity rate.

Men earning less than 676,000 TL had the lowest likelihood of cheating, with only 5% of them being in relationships and having the lowest probability of infidelity based on income.

Researchers also found that nearly a third (28%) of women earning between 1 and 1.3 million TL (30,000 to 40,000 pounds) per year cheated on their partners, making them the second-highest group in terms of the likelihood of infidelity.
