Summer Weather Sweeps Across Turkey: Temperatures Rise in Istanbul, Muğla, and Antalya

According to the Turkish State Meteorological Service’s weather report for May 23, 2025, temperatures across the country are expected to rise above seasonal averages. Summer-like conditions are especially evident in major cities and tourist hotspots such as Istanbul, Muğla, and Antalya.

In Istanbul, temperatures will reach up to 28°C. With partly cloudy skies, the weather is ideal for outdoor activities like strolling along the Bosphorus or enjoying the city’s many coastal parks. No rainfall is expected throughout the day.

In contrast, Eastern Anatolia and the inland parts of the Black Sea region may experience isolated showers and thunderstorms, particularly around midday. Cities such as Erzurum, Kars, and Erzincan are likely to be affected. Additionally, dust transport is expected in parts of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, which may pose a risk for people with respiratory sensitivities.
