SunExpress, a partnership between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa has adapted its in-flight treats to its new standard so that passengers can travel with peace of mind. The airline, which resumed domestic and international flights in June, welcomes its guests by increasing its flights each month and constantly updating its new travel standards.

Accordingly, SunExpress has updated its in-flight catering services again, taking into account new regulations brought about by the global outbreak. The suncafe menu, available on international flights in summer, includes hot dishes such as tas kebab, chicken sandwich, vegan lasagne or vegetarian noodles, as well as a variety of sweet and savoury snacks and hot and cold drinks. Due to restrictions imposed by authorities, SunExpress does not offer catering on domestic flights.

SunExpress also removes printed menu cards and magazines in seat pockets to minimize the risk of contact infection and offers this information to its passengers digitally through its new in-cabin entertainment system (IFE). Passengers can connect to the system from their smartphones or tablets to order whatever food they want.

The health and safety of guests and crew is always in the foreground.

It was stated by the company that SunExpress considered a safe and hygienic environment for the passengers on the plane as of first priority and took every precaution to cooperate with national and international authorities.

In addition to regular disinfecting of aircraft, SunExpress also makes it compulsory to wear masks and all sinks in the modern and efficient Boeing 737 fleet are equipped and treated with disinfectants. Also on boarding disinfecting tissues are handed out to guests.

Only basic personal items such as laptop bags, small handbags and baby products are accepted into the cabin in order to reduce contact points before, during and after the flight. All other items such as cabin baggage, wheelbarrows and large backpacks are delivered as luggage during check-in.

SunExpress guests can access the SunCafe menu, which includes pre-packaged meal alternatives to ensure maximum possible hygiene, from the SunExpress website or the In-Flight Entertainment System during their journey.
