Surprise poll in US: Democratic candidate Kamala Harris takes the lead

In a poll regarding the elections to be held on November 5 in the US, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump lagged 3 points behind his Democratic rival Kamala Harris. According to the poll jointly conducted by American NPR radio, PBS television, and Marist College, Harris’s performance shows improvement compared to previous polls.

US Vice President Harris continues the election race with 51% to 48%, leading her rival Trump by 3 points. 53% of participants believe Harris will better protect democracy compared to Trump.

Regarding immigration, 52% of voters believe Trump’s stance is stronger than Harris’s. Additionally, 51% of American voters think Trump would handle the tensions in the Middle East better than Harris.

The Cook Political Report poll previously mentioned that the point difference between Harris and Trump had dropped to 1.3.

A poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) also revealed a sharp increase in Harris’s preference among registered voters.
