The dollar starts the day with a new record and climbs up to 9.96

A new record of 9.96 was seen this morning in the dollar/TL. The fact that inflation in the United States exceeded expectations with 6.2 percent strengthened the dollar index, while the concern that interest rate cuts will continue in Turkey is also putting pressure on the exchange rate. External debt payments stand out as another factor.

The dollar /TL rose to a new record of 9.96 as inflation in the United States rose to the highest level seen since 1990 and inflation and monetary policy concerns in Turkey.

A peak of 9.87 was seen yesterday and the level of 11.41 was tested in Euro/TL.

UPDATE: Later in the day dollar TL rate saw 9.97 level.
