The latest situation on currency prices: Dollar TL rate finds balance at TL 8.20

Dollar / TL rate has found balance at 8.20 after strong rises. After the inflation report was announced Turkey experienced a busy data agenda on the last trading day of the month.

The central bank (CBRT) yesterday raised its inflation forecast for the end of the year from 9.4 per cent to 12.2 per cent. This rise was below the 14 per cent expectation that the market continued to revise up.

The bank announced that inflation would peak at around 17 percent in April, while the market expects annual inflation of 17.3 percent for next week to continue rising in May, perhaps in June.
