The question on Turkey’s agenda: In what city did the first corona virus case appear?

Finally, Kovid-19 (new corona virus), which spread in waves all over the world and led to the deaths of more than 4 thousand people, also spread to Turkey. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, who stood before the cameras at midnight last night, said: “The test result of our citizen with suspected corona virus has come back positive.”

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced the first case of corona virus in Turkey at midnight on 10 March 2020. The city where the person who contracted the virus lived and the hospital where he was being treated were not disclosed. After the Minister’s announcement, the question “In what city did the Corona virus appear?” sat on Turkey’s agenda.

The patient and his close circle including his family were kept under observation. Citizens are wondering what city the patient is in.

The patient who contracted the virus from Europe, was male and family members and his immediate surroundings were under surveillance, while it was not disclosed which city the case was seen in. Whether and when it will be revealed what city said patient is in, is not known yet.

Let us hope that no panic takes place in Turkey (thanks to good measures taken by Ministry of Health) due to bad news owing to the first case of corona virus which caused deaths in countries such as China, Italy and Iran mainly.
