Three vital messages from six-party table: “Common candidate, common list, safe ballot box”

SIX PARTY TABLE TURKEY POLITICS

The leaders of six political parties met at the Future Party Headquarters at 12.00 today for the 10th meeting which lasted for 9 hours. CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, IYI Party leader Meral Akşener, Democrat Party leader Gültekin Uysal, Felicity (Saadet) Party leader Temel Karamollaoğlu and DEVA Party leader Ali Babacan attended the meeting hosted by Future Party leader Ahmet Davutoğlu

During the meeting, which lasted for 9 hours, it was expected that the basic policies document, which is a government program, would be discussed and this text would be finalized on the table. The issue of joint candidates was also discussed for the first time at this meeting. The study will be the election declaration of the presidential candidate of the Six Table.

It was reported that the Transition Process Road Map which brought to the completion stage, and the Text of the Common Policies would be presented to the information of the public at a joint introductory meeting to be held on January 30. The next meeting will be held on January 26, hosted by the IYI Party, it was stated.

The table agreed they would not support the early elections to be held with the new system (introduced by AK Party).

PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT

The statetment made by the leaders also included following: “We will act with a culture of complete consensus on the presidential candidate and Deputy elections and we will start a new era both in the executive and legislative after the elections. In order to complete these studies in a short time, we decided to hold inter-leader meetings at Decembers more frequently. In this context, our next meeting will be held on January 26th, hosted by the IYI Party.”

On the other hand, it was stated in the statement that they were ready to support an early election to be held before April 6, which would take place with the current system used in the 2018 elections, but they would not support an early election to be held with the new system.
