Tourism experts believe Antalya province will lead World Tourism in 2021

President of Mediterranean tourist Hoteliers Association (AKTOB) President has made a statement saying 2021 season will be the year of domestic tourism. He also noted if tourism mobility in the world begins Antalya would among the most important destinations.

The President stressed that the opening of the main markets such as Russia, Ukraine, Germany and the UK market will be very important for re-opening of hotels  and noted following; “Antalya’s 2021 tourist season will be better than last year. We are one of the most important destinations in the world in safe tourism certification application. We’re the architects of this concept.

He went on to say; “It will take a certain amount of time for the vaccine to reach all countries. As long as we take precautions, the flow of tourists becomes more comfortable. Early bookings will increase as of March. We are thinking about the future of our traditional German market after measures in Europe are relaxed. We’re fighting for this year to be better than last year.”

Experts also note that Turkish tourism was less affected by the pandemic than alternative countries last year. They say, “Despite the pandemic which disrupted tourism plans, Turkey was less affected in terms of the number of tourists and tourism revenue than its competitors Italy, Spain and Greece.”
