Tourism Minister Ersoy: Turkey will host 50 million tourists this year

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said,“This year, as Turkey, we have a target of more than 50 million tourists.”

Speaking at the opening of Istanbul Airport operator IGA’s culture and arts support projects, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said, “As you know, we have a target of more than 50 million tourists this year as Turkey, and we will host more than 15 million of this number in Istanbul, and again, more than 10 million of this number will enter and exit Istanbul through IGA.”

Ersoy continued as follows:

“There is another feature of this place, 15 million tourists will disperse to other points via the IGA without entering, that is, 25 million tourists are using the IGA (Istanbul Airport) and leaving our country. If we include normal Turkish citizens, we see that an average of 300 thousand people a day somehow contact this airport.
