Trump: I will reinstate the travel ban on Muslim countries

Former U.S. President Donald Trump listed his promises: Accordingly “he will reinstate the travel ban on Muslim countries if he wins the 2024 presidential elections.”

According to a report from the U.S. press relayed by T24, Donald Trump spoke at a rally held in Dubuque, Iowa.

Trump referred to President Joe Biden’s immigration policies as a “nation-destroying disaster” and stated that if he were reelected, he would reinstate and expand the travel ban on Muslim countries during his presidency and deploy federal law enforcement agencies to the Mexico border.

Trump said he would adopt the “Eisenhower Model” and carry out the “largest deportation operation in U.S. history” if reelected.

He mentioned that he would deploy some federal law enforcement forces at the Mexico border and deport all individuals suspected of being drug dealers, gang members, or cartel members.

Trump stated that during his presidency, he had transformed the country’s immigration policies from “catch and release” to “detain and deport,” and he would reinstate the travel ban and expand the list of countries included in the ban, preventing the entry of “communists and Marxists” into the U.S.

Shortly after taking office, Trump had imposed a travel ban on Iran, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Chad, and North Korea on January 27, 2017.

In contrast, President Biden revoked the travel ban on certain Muslim countries during his first week in office with an executive order.
