TURKEY TRADE MINISTER MEHMET MUS

Turkey breaks an all-time record in exports in May 2023. Trade Minister Mehmet MUS said, “In May 2023, our exports increased by 14.4 percent and amounted to 21.7 billion dollars.

Turkey which is among the developing (still) countries in the world has been struggling to overcome poverty and provide a better welfare for its citizens. Trade Minister Mehmet MUS said, “In May 2023, our exports increased by 14.4 percent and amounted to 21.7 billion dollars. This is the highest export value of May of all time. Our exports will continue to be the driving force of growth.”

Despite this record however the foreign trade balance of the country has got much worse in the recent years and is one of the main reasons causing the bottleneck of foreign currency and depreciation of TL against US dollar.
