Consumer Price Index increase by 0,01 percent in November 2013
Consumer Price Index for November 2013 was announced by Turkish Statistical Institute.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.01% in November 2013
A rise in general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 0.01%, on December of the previous year by 6.91%, on same month of the previous year by 7.32% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 7.39% in November 2013.
The highest monthly increase was 3.27% in clothing and footwear
The indices rose for health 0.76%, for recreation and culture 0.65%, for hotels, cafes and restaurants 0.64%, for furnishings and household equipment 0.52%.
Monthly decrease was observed by 1.34% in food & non-alcoholic beverages
In November 2013, the indices declined for alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.64%, for communications by 0.41% and for transportation by 0.08% amongst the main groups.
The highest annual increase was 13.55% in alcoholic beverages and tobacco
Education (10.06%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (9.77%), hotels, cafes and restaurants (9.40%), transportation (8.28%) were the other main groups where high annual increases were realized.
The highest monthly increase was 0.97% in TRC3 (Mardin, Batman, Şırnak, Siirt)
The highest increases in CPI were recorded in TR71 (Kırıkkale, Aksaray, Niğde, Nevşehir, Kırşehir) region (7.96%) compared with the December of the previous year, TRC1 (Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Kilis) region (9.28%) compared with the same month of the previous year and in TRC1 (Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Kilis) region (8.89%) on the twelve months moving averages basis.
In November 2013 within average prices of 437 items in the index, average prices of 53 items remained unchanged while average prices of 291 items increased and average prices of 93 items decreased.
