Turkey Expected to Increase its Tourism Revenues to US$ 25 Billion

turkey-tourismThe chairman of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TUROFED) said that Turkey would rise to the eight place among countries with the highest amount of tourism income.

Ahmet Barut said in an interview with the A.A, “we expect number of tourists to increase 10 percent this year.

Accordingly, number of tourists visiting Turkey will be about 31 million by the end of the year. On the other hand, Turkey’s tourism income is expected to increase 15 percent to $25 billion from $22 billion last year.

Currently, Turkey ranked seventh among countries drawing the highest number of tourists and ninth among countries with the highest amount of tourism income.”

“Our goal is to become one of the firsxt five countries in tourism sector in the next ten years,” he added.
