Turkey’s share of British tourists revealed
The figures for overseas travel from the UK via air during the first half of 2024 have been announced. From January to June 2024, international air travel from the UK increased by 9%, surpassing 118 million trips.
Turkey’s Share Increased by 20%
According to an analysis by Tourism Databank based on data from the UK Civil Aviation Authority, international air travel from the UK saw a 9% increase, with the total number of trips exceeding 118 million.
In terms of outbound flights, Spain ranked first with 21 million travelers, followed by the USA, Italy, France, and the Netherlands. Turkey also saw a significant rise, with a 20% increase, exceeding 4.7 million trips. Both Istanbul and Antalya recorded a 20% growth in tourism from the UK.
