Turkey's energy imports rise.

Turkey’s energy imports rose by 38.5 percent in July compared to the same month last year, reaching 2 billion 908 million dollars. According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, total imports of Turkey in July this year increased by 46.2 percent compared to the same month last year and was recorded as 21 billion 484 million dollars.

The $ 2 billion 908 million portion of this figure was composed of “mineral fuels, mineral oils and products derived from their distillation, bitumen, mineral waxes”.

In July 2 million 154 thousand 735 tons of crude oil was imported. Thus, crude oil imports decreased by 7.81 percent compared to the same month last year.

In July last year, a total of 2 million 337 thousand 286 tons of crude oil was imported.
