Turkey’s epidemic report for 10 January 2021: 65,236 cases and 141 deaths recorded in last 24 hours

The number of cases is rising rapidly with the Omicron variant. The daily Covid-19 cases which had gone down to 16,910 on December 19, 2021, exceeded 20 thousand in a week, and saw more than 40 thousand at the end of the month. Cases reached 69 thousand on January 6.

On January 10th, 65,236 cases and 141 deaths recorded. In one day, 403 thousand 104 Covid-19 tests were conducted, 38 thousand 242 people recovered.

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said on his Twitter account: “We have stated that the Omicron variant is transmitted quickly. This feature has increased the importance of personal measures. The mask should be worn in such a way as to cover the mouth and nose; more attention should be paid to social distancing. Isn’t it much better not to even need a test than the mildest of the diseases?”
