Turkey’s former top imam comments to the question “Should alcoholic drinks be served in a 5 star hotel?”

Recently, the Mövenpick Malatya Hotel was followed by a dialogue between the managers and a well-known name.

While the owners of the hotel and some guests were in the dining room for a ceremony and chatting, the topic of “alcoholic drinks was raised. One of the executives asked an important guest (This guest called Ali BARDAKOGLU was former President of Religious Affairs and professor at the Center for the Study of the Qur’an (KURAMER).

– Hodja (teacher), some of our friends feel uncomfortable that alcoholic drinks are served to the customer at our hotel. What is your view on serving alcoholic beverages in 5-star hotels?

– If you built a hospital here instead of a hotel, wouldn’t you give him treatment to a Christian person who came to your hospital in need of cure?

– Domestic and foreign tourists will come to your hotel. If any of them wants to have alcoholic drinks it’s only normal they receive service. It is the customer’s choice to use alcoholic beverages. ”
