Turkey’s parliament adopts 13 more articles of the censorship law amid protests

The first 28 articles of the 40-article regulation prepared by the government, which will impose censorship on the press and social media, were accepted.

13 More articles of the 40-article censorship law, which the AKP and MHP define as the ‘Disinformation Law’, were adopted in the Parliament. The government’s regulation that will impose censorship on the press and social media has caused heated debates in Parliament.

The session was ended when opposition deputies protested article 29 which introduced prison sentence.
