Turkey’s share in total number of tourists from UK flying abroad increases by 20 percent

The share of British tourists traveling to Turkey has been revealed. Figures for air travel from the UK to international destinations during the January-June period of 2024 have been released. During this period, air travel from the UK to international destinations increased by 9%, surpassing 118 million trips.

Turkey’s share increased by 20%

According to an analysis by Tourism Databank, based on data from the UK Civil Aviation Authority, air travel from the UK to international destinations grew by 9% in the January-June 2024 period, exceeding 118 million trips.

Spain ranked first with 21 million trips in international air travel (arrivals and departures) from the UK, followed by the USA, Italy, France, and the Netherlands.

Turkey saw a 20% increase, surpassing 4.7 million trips. Istanbul and Antalya experienced a 20% growth as well.
