Attending the World Travel Market (WTM) Fair in London, the capital of England, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made evaluations during the World Travel Market (WTM) Fair held in London.

GOAL: 5 MILLION BRITISH TOURISTS

Attending the World Travel Market (WTM) Fair in London, the capital of England, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that they aimed to host 5 million tourists from the UK by 2026 adding “British tour operators have decided to continue their flights this winter. Normally, they used to suspend them, but now they don’t. This shows that Antalya will receive British tourists even during the winter.”

Answering questions from media, Minister Ersoy mentioned that promotional activities in Istanbul had yielded results in the UK. He stated, “Our campaigns are ongoing. They are not only coming for Antalya or the Aegean coasts. Tourism in Istanbul has increased. They have started coming for cultural visits to Anatolia.”

Ersoy said that they had diversified their products and destinations, adding “We’ve also focused on Ireland. We are increasing air traffic.”
