Turkish banks are to create employment for 8 thousand people

After recovering from a crisis about a decade ago, Turkish banking sector has gained a quite a healthy structure and has in fact attracted the attention of the big foreign groups

Some of said groups have accomplished acquisitions in Turkey to enter this sector.

As many giants strive to survive the global crisis, Turkish banks are determined to keep growing in 2013, thanks to their strong financial structure in terms of opening more branches and employing new personnel. In fact it is reported that banks in Turkey are planning to open

This obviously is bound to contribute to creating considerable new employment in the country in 2013.

In this context, 13 banks are reported to open 500 new branches to create about 8 thousand new jobs in the sector.

Turkish banks have been in tough competition to make great progress in recent years in terms of using the latest technology as well as improving their services in terms of quality and variety.

Based on official data, 48 banks opened 277 new branches to create new jobs for 3,000 people. Accordingly, the total number of branches of 48 banks rose to 10 thousand 111 and the number of employees rose to 184 thousand 332 people.

According to reports, Denizbank, Finansbank and Garanti Bank are the most active ones in terms of growth and employment.
