Turkish Company Aselsan Designs New System to Protect Borders

Turkey’s leading defense industry company ASELSAN has added a new item to its remote-control weapon systems.

ASELSAN which earlier developed STAMP (Stabilized Machine Gun Platform) and STOP (Stabilized Naval Gun System) for warships, now added SARP (Stabilized Advanced Remote Platform) for land operations.

As a remote rifle sentry watch system, SARP is controlled from a safe location day and night. It can carry 12.7 mm and 7.62 rifles and 40 mm grenade launcher as well as thermal and TV cameras.

SARP does not miss any targets with its laser distance finder and automatic target tracing systems.

The new system will be attached to Leopard2A4 tanks and ALTAY tanks.

Developed especially for border security, SARP will allow troops in border regions to give a quick response to any arm attack
