Turkey which has shown quite a good performance in the field of economy during the current global crisis continues to receive positive remarks from international experts.

A most recent praise was worded by Sarah Carlson a senior credit officer at Moody’s speaking at the 6th annual Turkey Credit Risk Conference of her company.

Ms Carlson expressed her appreciation when she said they considered Turkey as “good news” in Europe and added that Turkey was the only country with a positive rating mark in Europe currently.

She also made an interesting remark as follows;

“I read the first Turkish report in 1995, and I have been writing reports regarding Turkey since 1995. If somebody had told me ten years ago that a global crisis would emerge and Turkey would survive that crisis, I would have never believed that. But today Turkey is the only country in Europe with a positive rating outlook.”

The senior officer also referred to the external vulnerability problem of the Turkish economy and added upgrading of Turkey’s credit note might be assessed, if there were positive and fundamental changes in concerned field.
