Turkish food giant ULKER announces 14 percent turnover growth for first quarter 2018

ULKER BISKUVI (Biscuit) has announced the results for the first quarter of 2018. The snack roll turnover of the company grew by 14 percent in said period as compared to same period last year, breaking its own record. ULKER BISKUVI which completed last year with a record in turnover and profitability announced that it has increased its turnover for snacks to TL 1.4 million for the first quarter corresponding to an increase of 14.1 percent as compared to same period last year.

ULKER is Turkey’s largest publicly traded food company. The company officials made following remarks regarding the performance of the company:

“Our practices regarding cost and product synergies in our investments at home and abroad, strong performance in our operations and the effective cost control that we have built over the years has enabled us to achieve a profit margin of over 15 percent (before tax etc.).

ULKER BISKUVI continued to grow operationally and financially in the first quarter of 2018. We continue to get good results in prioritizing areas that will provide competitive advantage with reasonable price, innovation and sustainable brand investment.
