We plan to announce “Medium Term Program” for Turkish economy after the elections, State Minister Babacan says. Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said Friday that they planned to announce the “Medium Term Program” for the Turkish economy soon after the elections.

Speaking on private NTV and CNBC-e TV channels, Babacan said that the “Medium Term Program” would be planned to help continue fiscal stability and explore ways to deal with Turkey’s current account deficit.

All precautions related to macro prudence will be part of the “Medium Term Program”, Babacan said.

Touching on the restructuring of the Turkish cabinet, Babacan said that “restructuring the cabinet was essential based on the government’s experience in the last 8.5 years”.

It was a necessity to turn certain state ministries into individual ministries and bring together certain organizations under the roof of one single ministry, Babacan added.
