Turkey’s industry in progress
According to data released by Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat) yesterday, monthly industrial production index increased by 8.4 percent in November 2011.
Compared to the same month of 2010, the index for the mining and quarrying increased by 2.9%, the manufacturing sector index increased by 7.6% and electric, gas and steam production and distribution index rose by 16.9% in November 2011.
The calendar-adjusted index in November 2011 increased by 5.2%, while the seasonal and calendar-adjusted industrial production index decreased by 2.5%.
