Turkish woman becomes Kuwait’s first female captain pilot

Elif GUVEYLER, a Turkish woman became the first female “captain” pilot of the country by performing a first in the history of Kuwait. Elif Güveyler, who was trained at the Turkish Aviation Authority and worked at Jazeera Airways in Kuwait for about 4 years after serving at Onur Air and THY, became the first female captain pilot of Kuwait.

Güveyler shared the news on his social media account with the following statements:

“I wanted to tell you this news for a while… After many years of hard work, striving, proving myself, I want to share with you the pride of being the first female captain pilot of the company and the country by achieving a first in a company abroad, even in the history of Kuwait”

SHE WAS AN ENGLISH TEACHER

Elif Güveyler graduated from 9 Eylül University, Department of English Teaching, in 2008. In 2011, she took an important step in her life by taking pilotage training at the Turkish Aviation Institute for about 2 years. After working at Onur Air for two years, she served at Turkish Airlines for almost 4 years. Then she moved to Jazeera Airways in 2019.
