TURKSTAT announces unemployment rate in Turkey at 11.5 percent
The unemployment rate in Turkey was recorded at 11.5 percent in March, corresponding to an increase of 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous month.
According to the data of the General Directorate of the Turkish Employment Agency published yesterday, the number of unemployed registered with IŞKUR in April increased by 23 percent compared to the same month of the previous year to 3 million 583 thousand 503. The number of registered unemployed among women increased by 25 percent, while the increase among men was 21.3 percent.
