UK becomes 3rd country sending highest number of tourists to Antalya with 520,569 tourists

The enchanting beauties of Antalya attracted more than 5.5 million tourists from Russia, Germany and the UK in the first six months of 2023. While these three countries accounted for a large part of the total visitors, they once again proved Antalya’s worldwide popularity and tourism potential.

Antalya Reached a Record Number of Tourists in the First Half of 2023. Antalya’s tourism sector experienced significant growth in the first six months of 2023. This magical city, which attracted an influx of tourists from all over the world, hosted 5 million 523 thousand 624 tourists. This marks an increase of 29% compared to last year.

29 PERCENT INCREASE COMPARED TO LAST YEAR

The number of tourists arriving to Antalya by air in the first 6 months of 2023 was 5 million 523 thousand 624.  This number represents an increase of 29% compared to last year.

The country that sent the most tourists to Antalya was Russia. During this period, 1 million 309 thousand 267 Russian tourists visited Antalya. This figure corresponded to a 25.24% increase in the number of Russian tourists compared to the same period last year. The number of German tourists was calculated as 1 million 191 thousand 62, showing an increase of 22.96% compared to last year.

UK BECOMES THIRD COUNTRY SENDING HIGHEST NUMBER OF TOURISTS TO ANTALYA

The UK became the third country sending the most tourists to Antalya with 520 thousand 569 tourists, while it is a known fact that British citizens mostly prefer Fethiye region.

Countries such as Poland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Lithuania, Israel and Ukraine also ensured the flow of tourists to Antalya. In June of 2023, Antalya hosted 2 million 141 thousand 809 tourists by air, this number increased compared to the same period last year.
