In Muğla’s Fethiye district, a Ukrainian tourist lost his life after being struck by a speedboat.

A tourist swimming outside the designated safety zones in Muğla was fatally struck by a speedboat.

In Muğla’s Fethiye district, a Ukrainian tourist was killed after being hit by a speedboat. The incident occurred in Ölüdeniz neighborhood, where 61-year-old Heorıı Sosnov was swimming outside the safety zones of a beach when a speedboat operated by a water sports company struck him.

Emergency response teams, including medical personnel, gendarmerie, and coast guard units, were dispatched to the scene following an alert. Upon examination, medical teams determined that Sosnov had died at the scene.

His body was taken to the morgue at Fethiye State Hospital.

The operator of the speedboat, identified as M.Ç., has been taken into custody.
