Hot weather continues to affect the entire country. According to Meteorology’s weekly report, while rains continue in the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia, the heat will persist in the West. Here is the weather forecast for the country…

CNN TÜRK Meteorology Advisor Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen issued a humidity and heat warning for Istanbul. Şen stated that the perceived temperature would exceed 40 degrees, advising people not to go outside.

The temperatures, which are currently 3-7 degrees above seasonal norms, are expected to continue to rise across the country. The wind will generally blow from the north, lightly to moderately from the south and west on the Mediterranean coasts and in southeastern Anatolia, and strongly (40-60 km/h) in the southern Marmara, northern and coastal Aegean.

Saturday 20th: 27-41 degrees
Sunday 21st 27-39 degrees

Strong Rain Warning: Since the rains are expected to be locally strong in Artvin, Erzurum, Kars, and Ardahan, around Bolu, Çankırı, and in the northern parts of Ankara, caution and measures should be taken against possible negative impacts.
