AKOM Warns Istanbul and gives time: “Heavy Rain Will Hit Istanbul”

The Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has announced that local thunderstorms are expected in the city starting from noon.
In the statement made by AKOM, it was noted that while the city is experiencing temperatures around 28 degrees Celsius, the wind is expected to blow moderately from the northeast, sometimes strongly, and temperatures will hover around 33 degrees Celsius at noon.
The statement mentioned that local thunderstorms are expected from noon, and it was indicated that the rain would reduce the impact of the hot and oppressive weather that has been experienced over the past two weeks.
In the statement, it was noted that temperatures would remain around the seasonal norms and 1-2 degrees above throughout the week, and temperatures in the city are expected to stay around the seasonal norms to 1-3 degrees above until August 5.
