What is the Actual Target: More Rights and Ethnic Freedom for Kurds or Seperation and Establishment of An Autonomous Kurdish State

"Share this post on social media, spread the news"

soldiers_clashTerrorists of the outlawed Kurdistan Worker’s Party have murdered 13 Turkish soldiers in an ambush in Diyarbakır, the biggest city in southeastern Turkey, today

This ruthless and saddening operation was undertaken by the terrorists at a time when all political parties in Turkey (including ruling AK parti and opposing CHP) have reached a very constructive and implicit consensus over the fact that Turkey should re-write its constitution to bring extended freedom in all walks of life to include the educational, cultural and social rights of Turkish citizens of Kurdish origin, in the first place.

When one thinks about the timing of this vicious act it is not difficult to consider the possibility that some evil parties are trying to prevent a peaceful and constructive political solution to furnish the Kurdish population with the rights they have long missed.

Certainly, all these harmful acts are put into application within a plan based on the strategic decisions and management of  a very skillful top administration in the Kandil area – the headquarters of Kurdish terrorists.

The saddening and awkward part of this ongoing tragedy however is that the separatist fraction and its extensions  all over the world have been doing their best to promote their unfair mission as “VERY INNOCENT and HUMAN”.. As an effort to get their basic human rights; That is the right to speak their mother tongue and to exercise their traditions etc.

And a great number of people in the world are unfortunately deceived by this campaign, claiming it is a fundamental human right to speak own language and exercise own traditions, receive equal treatment as other citizens of different ethnic origin.

When we look at the issue from an objective point of view, although many politicians, doctors, scientists, businessmen of said ethnic origin have reached top positions within the Turkish society, especially during the recent decades of the republic, we can easily observe that citizens of Kurdish origin have been ignored for a long time, since the establishment of this country.

They have even been denied their ethnic identity in most situations and treated as second class citizens.

This certainly has been (an is still being) exploited by many sources of power and global ones in specific to provoke Kurds to revolt against Turkey, by using ethnic arguments.

What is happening today is not that much different really as it is a known fact that some major western countries have been extending direct support to this vicious terror organization by supplying all kinds of needs, finance and arms to be in the first place.

When we look back to remember what Turkey has lived through during the last couple of years we see that this country has taken giant steps on the way to extending more rights and support to its Kurdish population which was originally named “Kurdish Opening” when it first came to the agenda.

One last step to complete this opening would be to re-write the constitution that would be a move to concern all citizens and not Kurdish citizens only, to provide everybody with more rights to include ethnic ones surely.

The promising point is  almost all Turkish citizens are in favor of such effort and they would not deny their support in this regard.

However, there is “the dark side of the moon” as well. Turks have also come to believe eventually, that this so called Kurdish Opening is meant to pave the way to separation and establishment of a sovereign Kurdish State in southeastern Turkey.

Turkey (and its Turkish citizens) embraces and is ready to cuddle its Kurdish citizens by providing all means of fair and humanly social and cultural needs as well as much better economical opportunities to take home food.

But when it comes to dividing the country and establishing an autonomous state within the territory of Turkey, the great majority of the population – approx.. 80% – would without a hesitation refuse to accept such a radical alternative.

The way the whole thing has been progressing so far unfortunately gives way to concerns that the real target behind very innocent cultural claims seems to be paving the way to establishment of a new Kurdish state, which would no way be acceptable – and even in spite of the unending efforts of some major global powers.

To conclude, it would be useful to realize that using guns will not help after a point and the only constructive and realistic remedy would be to sit down at the table without hidden objectives such as separation, and focus on how to contribute to establishing a much better democracy in the country which would bring more freedom and rights to all citizens and not only citizens of Kurdish origin.
