Where does Turkey rank in travel spending of German tourists
The top countries for German travel spending have been revealed. In the first nine months of 2024, Italy ranked first in Germans’ international travel expenditures, with Turkey in fourth place. According to data compiled by Tourism Databank from the German Central Bank, Turkey follows Spain and France, with Germans spending one-third as much in Turkey as in Spain.
Spain saw the largest spending increase, at 12%, while Italy and Turkey both showed a 10% growth. In terms of market share, Spain increased, while Turkey and Italy remained stable, and France declined.
