Which alliance could win if election were held in Turkey today?

Another bad news for the Republic Alliance came from  survey made by Aksoy Research Company. Accordingly, the National Alliance is observed to be 3.5 percent ahead of the Republic Alliance in a possible election. Aksoy Research announced the results of its first election poll in December. The research was conducted by interviewing 1067 people, the margin of error was stated as 3 percent.

The survey asked the participants “Which party would you vote for if there was an election of deputies this Sunday?”

The AKP’s share of the vote was 26.7 percent, the CHP’s 24.5 percent, the GOOD Party’s 12.5 percent, the HDP’s 9.2 percent, the MHP’s 7.5 percent, DEVA’s 2.1 percent, the Future Party’s 0.9 percent before the undecided ones were distributed. The other parties had a vote share of 2.7 percent, while those who said ‘Undecided/no answer’ had a vote share of 6.5 percent.

So, the “Nation’s Alliance” (to include CHP and Good Party as the main block), was calculated at 37 percent. Vote of the Republic Alliance (AK Party and partner MHP) was calculated at 34.2 percent. When Deva and Felicity party vote share is added on top of CHP and Good Party the gap between two alliances widens. On the other hand HDP (pro-Kurdish party) is expected to definitely support the Nation’s Alliance.

Judging on above data like with many others from different survey companies, it seems real difficult for the ruling bloc to make up for the gap and win elections again – as it looks today, certainly.
