According to the report, 86 out of 100 tourists visiting Turkey leave satisfied. The countries leaving the most foreign currency in Turkey are Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, Kuwait, and Qatar, respectively. The average length of stay for tourists in Turkey is reported to be 4.5 days.
In 2021, the Istanbul Bosphorus, Hagia Sophia, and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque were the most visited places, while in 2022, Side Ancient City and Antalya Kaleiçi were also added to this list. According to a report in Aydınlık, among the reasons why tourists choose Turkey are nature, art and culture, physical activities/sports, dining, sea tourism/sun, and shopping, respectively.
Among the spending categories of tourists visiting Turkey, retail stands out the most, followed by accommodation, health/beauty, medical, transportation, grocery, and restaurant expenses.
