Airline Ratings, a leading airline safety and product evaluation platform, has unveiled its list of the “Top 25 Safest Airlines for 2024”. So, where does Turkish Airlines (THY) stand on the list? The platform monitored 385 different airline companies worldwide to compile this list.

Turkey’s flagship carrier, Turkish Airlines (THY), secured the 16th position on the list.

Several criteria are considered in the selection process, including accidents over the past five years, significant incidents in the last two years, inspections from aviation regulatory bodies and leading organizations, government inspections, fleet age, and crew training.

The presence of advanced new aircraft in the fleet, such as the Airbus A350, Boeing 787, and 777-9, also plays a crucial role in the selections, emphasizing operational excellence.
