President Erdoğan says “We will not leave our brothers in Oatar alone”
PRESIDENT RECEP TAYYIP ERDOGAN spoke at ruling AK Party’s fast-breaking meal in Istanbul. He said “I have not witnessed that Qatar supports terrorism. They declare some foundations established to extend various services, as terrorists. We will not leave our brothers in Qatar alone “.
Erdoğan went on to say following:
“I regret to say; The rising tension between the sister countries in the Gulf region in the last few days has overshadowed the joy of all Muslims. It is wrong to add new problems to the plenty already existing ones at a time when the Islamic world has to cope with all this.
It is not right at all to consume our energy with our own internal affairs and to waste our scarce resources in a period plans for the future of our region and dirty calculations are being imposed
The truth must be known by everyone. From here I call out to all the brothers in the Gulf; Leaders and the people of the Gulf I am calling out to you: There is no winner in a fight between brothers. The winner of such a fight will be foreign powers that feed on instability, tension, and blood and tears in our region.
Obviously we are tired of these conflicts; Muslims killing Muslims. We see what is happening in Syria and Iraq. What is the benefit of spreading out these conflicts? We have also seen what has happened in Yemen, Afghanistan and Myanmar etc. What did we gain from all these, so that we are to expect anything from what is happening here now. This needs to be resolved quickly.
When we had a coup attempt in Turkey, we know very well who were happy in the Gulf. We have an intelligence organization as well, like others. We know very well how they spent the night. What is happening in Turkey, what is happening, is it over, is it going, has the coup arrived at the conclusion? We know very well who followed all these. We know how much money was spent.
Now there are some parties who are uncomfortable because we are with our brothers in Qatar, and ready to support them with food, medicine etc. With all due respect, we’ll continue to give Qatar all kinds of support. “
