Turkey’s central government budget gives US$ 17 billion in February 2019

The Treasury and Finance Ministry has announced the budget implementation results for February 2019. Based on concerned report Turkey’s central government budget gave a deficit of TL 11.7 billion in January-February period and US$ 16.8 billion in February.

Accordingly, budget revenues increased to TL 67 billion in February with an increase of by 9.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Budget expenditures increased by 33.2 percent to TL 83.7 billion.

Budget revenues in the January-February period increased by 37.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year to TL 163.9 billion while budget expenditures increased by 47 percent to TL 175.6 billion.

Experts note these findings would not please the administration at all just prior to local elections staging big and tough competition between two fronts, namely CUMHURIYET (republican) alliance led by ERDOGAN and MILLET (Nation) alliance led by CHP (party) and IYI Parti.
