Who is not telling the truth about the call between Trump & Erdogan regarding Afrin?

Based on the announcement made by Washington, President Trump warned President Erdoğan against a possible risk of putting U.S. and Turkish forces in a confrontation situation during the operation carried out by Turkey as the U.S. has about 2,000 troops in Syria. However Turkish sources said the White House did not reflect the conversation accurately.

As for the recent situation in Syria, Turkey has been carrying out an air and ground operation in Afrin, Syria for 5 days now, targeting US-backed Kurdish YPG militants. According to Turkey YPG is very closely related to pro-Kurdish PKK terror group which has carried out terror acts causing tens of thousands of lives of civil citizens in Turkey for several decades and therefore would be a major threat in Turkey’s south border with Syria in case of a permanent structure to be established in said region.

Earlier Turkey’s President Erdogan had stated that Turkey could extend the operation to Manbij inhabited by Kurds, in which case U.S. forces stationed there could be at risk and the conflict could face the undesired prospects of growing, to terminate all efforts to stabilize the region.
