134 thousand tourists arrived from Ukraine, whose airspace is closed

Antalya City Council Tourism Group Chairman and NBK Touristik General Manager has said that this year 134 thousand tourists has come to Antalya, from Ukraine who is in the middle of the war with a closed airspace.

The war has been going on for 10 months. Noting that the wave of migration starting from Ukraine with the prolongation of the war had significantly affected the lives of neighboring countries in particular, the chairman said, “It is known that more than 5 million Ukrainian citizens have passed to Germany, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, especially Poland, for a long time. 80% of more than 1 million Ukrainian immigrants who immigrated to Germany were hired, citizenship was facilitated. Poland has been offering accommodation and catering for around 3 million Ukrainians for months,”

Emphasizing that Antalya, which Ukrainians consider as a holiday paradise, takes an important place in this process, he said that tens of thousands of Ukrainian citizens were trying to overcome this difficult period by coming to Antalya by car.
