167 thousand paragliding flights performed from Babadag in 2021
Last year, 167 thousand paragliding flights were made from Babadag which has an altitude of 1965, and is considered the “window to the world” in Fethiye district of Muğla.
Every year thousands of domestic and foreign tourists who want to do paragliding are hosted by Babadag Air Sports and Recreation Center at Oludeniz.
Paragliders who take off by parachute from the runways at Babadag have the opportunity to watch the impressive view of the Oludeniz from a bird’s eye view.
On the other hand, the center which is shown among the best paragliding centers in the world and hosts a large number of adrenaline-loving domestic and foreign tourists, makes a significant contribution to the regional economy.
Babadag facility was fully operational on June 1, last year. While 166 thousand 813 paragliding flights were made in 2019, this number remained at 74 thousand in 2020. Last year, an all-time record was set for the number of paragliding flights from Babadag. 167 thousand 3 flights took place by paragliding from Babadag.”
Among guest sthat prefer to experience this adventure are Russians, Ukrainians, Germans, Brits etc. 167 thousand paragliding flights made from Babadag in 2021. The officials on the other hand state that the target number of flights is 200 thousand.
