2 factors that increased Russian tourist numbers in Antalya in October

The Russian Tour Operators Association (ATOR) released an analysis on the number of Russian tourists visiting Antalya in October 2024.
20 Percent Increase compared to same month last year
According to ATOR’s report, Antalya’s beaches experienced a successful period with Russian tourists this year. The number of Russian visitors rose from 431,000 in October of last year to 519,000 this October—a 20% increase compared to the same month last year.
Lower Prices and Warm Sea Temperatures Boost Demand
ATOR officials attributed this increase to two main factors. Firstly, many tourists intentionally delayed their holiday plans to autumn to take advantage of end-of-season discounts, as peak summer prices were higher. Secondly, the unusually warm fall in 2024, with sea temperatures in areas like Kemer reaching 26 degrees Celsius even in November, allowed the holiday season to continue.
