258 women have been killed in Turkey this year
At least 258 women have been killed by men and 711 women have been injured this year. According to Bianet, the number of women killed in November alone was 29, and the number of injured was 41.
Three trans women were among those killed in the time period Dec. 1 to Nov. 23. Two of the women were Afghans, one Moroccan, one Syrian, one Ukrainian, one Yazidi, one Azerbaijani, one Russian and one Kyrgyz.
The deaths of at least 193 women this year have been described in the press as ‘suspicious’.
