5 Magnitude earthquake in the Aegean Sea! Recent earthquakes

EARTHQUAKE IN AEGEAN

A magnitude 5 earthquake has occurred in the Aegean Sea. It was learned that the earthquake had  also been felt from the surrounding provinces such as Izmir and Balıkesir. All information about the recent earthquakes continues to be shared by Kandilli Observatory and AFAD.

An earthquake of magnitude 5 according to the Richter scale occurred on Lesbos Island in the Aegean Sea. The earthquake was felt in Izmir and Balıkesir, as well as in Çanakkale.

The earthquake occurred at 10:38 a.m., when the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency Earthquake Department determined the epicenter as Lesbos Island in the Aegean Sea.

The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 14.95 kilometers in the Ayvacik district of Çanakkale at a distance of 15.82 kilometers, caused a short-term panic.

In addition to Çanakkale, there was no loss of life and property in the earthquake in Izmir and Balıkesir, either.
