ARMENIAN GANGS IN ANATOLIA

ARMENIAN GANG IN EASTERN ANATOLIA

US President Joe BIDEN has named the atrocities Armenians experienced during the Ottoman time, GENOCIDE which was a very unlucky move as far as the long lasting close relations between USA and Turkey as allies is concerned.

Unfortunately, the whole thing is about politics and benefits and has nothing to do with a genuine effort to find out the about the truth, actual history that is.

The events in question took place during war times. Ottoman Empire was in war with many countries, losing territory at every border and those within the empire tried to steal away territory from the empire. Therefore, regardless of whatever happened it had to do with defending own land, as well.

Coming to what happened at the time, the history records say “Yes, there were atrocities in the region mainly and many Armenians suffered badly. Also many lost their lives during deportation (relocation), it goes without saying. But why did the Ottomans see a necessity to implement deportation?

When the Ottoman Empire was involved in the First World War, one of the first fronts it opened was the Eastern Front. On this front, there were Armenian gangs that collaborated with the Russians. According to them, in order for an independent Armenia to be established, it was necessary to clean the region (Eastern Anatolia)  from the Turks.

These gangs began to express these intentions as soon as the war began. After a short while, even the Russian commanders could not prevent the extreme actions practiced these Armenians. In this direction, the Armenian committees carried out major massacres in many cities of Eastern Anatolia, especially after the First World War and even following the withdrawal of Russians from Anatolia.

Van, Bitlis, Muş, Erzincan, Erzurum, Kars, Bayburt, Igdir, Trabzon, Sivas are among these cities. Even depicting the mezalim that the Muslim people living in these provinces experienced is really difficult. Publicizing these actions to the world would ensure that the issue is perceived correctly.

To recap, “Yes, hundreds of thousands of Armenians suffered from concerned atrocities undertaken by the Ottoman Empire at the time”. And anybody would need to share feelings of empathy for those who suffered and/or lost their lives during referred incidents. However, it was war time and unluckily, well organized Armenian gangs did everything in the region with an effort to make it equal as recorded in several sources.

Therefore it would certainly be a fair approach to acknowledge all that happened as explained above, and extend deepest empathy in regards, not forgetting Turks living in the region had to face even more brutal acts exercised by Armenian gangs, collaborating with Russia.

Finally, at the end of the day despite all that happened as explained above, concerned events cannot and should not be referred to as GENOCIDE. We strongly CONDEMN Joe Biden for having used this expression in his statement regarding concerned events in 1915.
