A mine has been detected off IGNEADA, on Turkey’s Black Sea shore

The Ministry of National Defense has announced that a mine has been detected off IGNEADA, near the border with Bulgaria.

The Ministry of National Defense said that after the mine was defused off Istanbul at the end of the week, a mine had been detected off IGNEADA today.

In a statement, the MSB said that the work to neutralize the mine had begun, adding: “The Underwater Defense Teams (SAS) located in the region were quickly transferred to the scene after a mine was detected off Iğneada near the Bulgarian border earlier today. The mentioned mine was secured by SAS Teams and purposeful intervention was started to neutralize it.”
