According to concerned reports, the wheat farming area decreased from 9.6 million hectares in 1991 to 7.9 million hectares in 2014 and 6.9 million hectares in 2020.

The chairman said “Farming without fertilizers will accelerate the farmer’s withdrawal from production, farming areas will decrease even more, and the dependence on foreign sources will increase. The food crisis with high prices will continue. An increase in prices cannot be avoided without reducing costs. The solution is not dependence on foreign purchases, but taking concrete measures for domestic production.”
